1. Agreement

By using pillsbyeight.com, joining the waitlist, or paying a founding-member deposit, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site.

2. Who we are

Pills By Eight is a product of Scopel Labs, a trade name operated by Fabio Scopel (“we,” “us”). Contact: hello@pillsbyeight.com.

3. What we are — and what we're not

Pills By Eight will be an Android app that shows medication reminders and sends a text alert to a caregiver if a dose is missed. It's a reminder tool. That's it.

Pills By Eight is not a medical device, not medical advice, and not a substitute for professional medical care. Always follow the guidance of licensed healthcare professionals. Do not use Pills By Eight as your only safeguard against missed medications. Medical emergencies should go to 911, not to us.

4. Pre-launch status

We have not launched the app yet. Today you can join the waitlist for free, or reserve founding-member access with a $1 refundable deposit. We aim to launch an invite-only beta within 60 days of hitting our validation goals.

5. The $1 founding-member deposit

The $1 deposit reserves your founding-member spot and locks in 50% off for life on any paid subscription plan we offer after launch.

It is fully refundableat any time, for any reason. Reply to any email from us and we'll refund you within 5 business days — no questions, no forms.

If we don't launch by September 1, 2026, we will refund your deposit automatically.

6. Future subscription pricing

After launch we plan to offer:

Founding members receive 50% off any paid plan, as long as their subscription remains active. Prices may change for non-founders in the future; founding members keep the locked-in 50% discount against the then-published price.

7. Refunds

The $1 founding-member deposit is refundable on request. After launch, you can cancel any subscription at any time from the app; once a monthly subscription charge has been billed, it is not pro-rated or refunded except where required by law.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use Pills By Eight to harm yourself or others. Don't submit someone else's email address without their permission. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or abuse the service. We reserve the right to refuse or suspend service for any of the above.

9. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that notifications will always be delivered, that SMS alerts will always arrive, or that the app will be available at all times. Use Pills By Eight as an aid — not your only safety net.

We do not practice medicine. We do not verify prescription accuracy. You are responsible for entering medication information correctly.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scopel Labs and Fabio Scopel are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Pills By Eight. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the preceding 12 months — which, today, is at most $1.

11. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms as the product evolves. Changes take effect when posted here. Material changes will be emailed to existing waitlist members and founding members.

12. Termination

You can stop using Pills By Eight at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will first be raised informally by email. If we can't resolve them that way, they'll be heard in a court of competent jurisdiction in the United States where Scopel Labs is operated.
