1. Who we are

Pills By Eight is a product of Scopel Labs, a trade name operated by Fabio Scopel. You can reach us at hello@pillsbyeight.com.

This policy explains what we collect when you visit pillsbyeight.com, join our waitlist, or reserve founding-member access with a $1 refundable deposit — and what we do with it.

2. What we collect

From the waitlist form: your email address and the marketing source (UTM parameters, referrer) if you arrived from an ad or link.

From the $1 deposit: your email address and the billing details you enter into Stripe Checkout. We do not receive or store your card number — Stripe handles all card data as our processor. We do retain your Stripe Customer ID and payment amount.

Automatically, from your browser: pages viewed, referrer, approximate location derived from IP, device type, browser, and anonymous usage events. This is captured by Vercel Analytics, Vercel Speed Insights, and the Meta Pixel.

3. How we use it

To send the welcome note, product updates, and beta invitations.
To process and refund the $1 founding-member deposit and, after launch, your subscription.
To measure which marketing sources drive signups so we can spend ad budget more effectively.
To prevent fraud, abuse, and spam.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers we need to run the site:

Stripe — payment processing — stripe.com/privacy
Resend — welcome and notification emails — resend.com/legal/privacy-policy
Vercel — website hosting and analytics — vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
Meta (Facebook) — advertising attribution via the Meta Pixel — facebook.com/privacy/policy
Cloudflare — DNS and email forwarding — cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

We may also disclose data if legally required to do so.

5. How long we keep it

Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribing is a single click in the footer of every email we send.

Stripe payment records are retained for as long as required by our payment processor and US tax law — typically 7 years.

Analytics data is retained per the policies of Vercel and Meta, generally 12–24 months.

6. Your rights

At any time you can:

Unsubscribe — one click in any email we send.
Request your data— email us and we'll send everything we store.
Request deletion— email us and we'll remove your record, typically within 7 days. (Stripe payment records are retained per tax law.)
Get a refund — reply to any email from us and we refund your $1 deposit within 5 business days, no questions.

If you're in California, the EEA, the UK, or another jurisdiction with specific data rights (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), those rights apply to you as well.

7. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site function and for analytics (Vercel Analytics, Meta Pixel). You can disable these in your browser, though the site may not work as expected.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies beyond the Meta Pixel, which tracks whether visitors who arrived via our Meta ads later signed up or deposited.

8. Children

Pills By Eight is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us and we'll delete it.

9. International visitors

If you visit the site from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States by our providers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, the “Last updated” date above will change. Significant changes will be emailed to existing waitlist members.
